I visited a restaurant in Aurora IL named “Los Comales”. The restaurant is located in the street of Farnsworth Ave. and right next to the supermarket called “El Guerro”. You feel welcomed from the moment you come into the establishment. Right away I was greeted by the waiter. He was very polite and friendly. He took our order and they gave us chips with salsa as an appetizer while we waited.

 I honestly did not wait a lot for me to get my food. At this establishment, I ordered some tacos of lengua (tongue tacos). Honestly, not a lot of people like these types of tacos because it’s a tongue they think it’s kind of gross. But they are one of my favorites! They are actually more pricey than other ones. Restaurants will price them for a little bit more than $3. At Los Comales the great thing is they have prized them at the same as other ones ($2.05).

The restaurant has a variety of Mexican cuisine. You can order tostada, tortas, gorditas, burritos and much more. They also offer other special meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have different types of tacos like bistec, pollo, lengua, al pastor and suadero (steak, chicken, tongue, pork and flank steak). Comales offers different types of tacos that I have been told to be delicious. I have only tasted the tacos alpastor and lengua.   

 

I found it a great location and with good customer service. I went this week and they had fun decorations for Halloween and that made the restaurant stand out to me even more. I think that when a restaurant takes its time into the decoration it is trying to make the customers feel more comfortable and happy when they visit.
