I visited “Primo’s Tacos”. The location that I visited opened recently. It is located in the parking lot of the Farnsworth Plaza in Aurora IL. Since it is a new location for the “Primo’s Taco”, I found it very simple in its décor and it did  not have much variety of food. Since it is considered a food truck, not a taco tuck it did not offer a variety of food options. The only items they have on their menu are tacos, tortas and burritos. I want to think that the reason they don’t have a lot more options for food is that its a new location.

For being a place that recently opened they do already have a lot of customers. When I visited the establishment I waited for my food for 10 minutes. There were a lot of people waiting for their food. they are located in a traffic area and I think that this is what brings a lot of people to this food truck.  Despite having to wait a while for my tacos I found that they are a welcoming business. Primo’s Tacos felt welcoming in the way they consider their client’s primos (cousins). This is clever because their name is translated into Cousins Tacos. I think that when a business makes you feel like family it makes it more of a welcoming place.

 

I got tacos al pastor and I have to admit that I was not too satisfied with them. I found that the tacos have a weird taste to them. In my opinion, the tacos did not even taste like Al Pastor. I was very disappointed in the way the tacos tasted. 

The tacos were cooked with a lot of oil and the meat was very oily.  I ended up needing a lot of napkins.

Honestly, I don’t understand why this food truck has a lot of customers and different locations. I did not find the tacos good at all.

The food truck also offers burritos and tortas. I did not taste them so I don’t know if I would recommend them. Considering how I don’t recommend the tacos al pastor, I would assume that the torta and burritos are not any better.

I would leave this review with the only happy note which is that the food truck felt very welcoming by their greetings.
